Wear protective glasses during the day and an eye shield while sleeping for the first week.
Avoid touching, rubbing, or putting pressure on your eye.
Skip head baths for a week; however, you can clean your body below the neck daily.
Gently clean your face with a clean, damp cloth without allowing water near your eyes.
3. Stay Away from Water, Dust, and Makeup
Avoid splashing water directly into your operated eye and wash your hands thoroughly before applying eye drops.
Keep the surgical area clean and minimize exposure to dust or dirt. Refrain from applying makeup around the eyes for 2-3 weeks.
4. Activity Restrictions
Steer clear of strenuous activities like heavy lifting, bending, or rigorous exercise for at least a week.
Hold off on driving until your doctor gives the green light.
Avoid swimming or using hot tubs for at least 2-3 weeks to prevent infections.
5. Monitor for Warning Signs
Contact your doctor immediately if you experience: Severe pain or redness
Sudden vision changes like blurriness or loss of vision Swelling or discharge around the eye
Floaters or flashes of light
